IPL Photorejuvenation

Visibly improve the appearance of your skin while reducing redness and dark spots with the innovative IPL photorejuvenation treatment Harmony XL Pro Dye VL.

The innovative technology of IPL Harmony XL Pro Dye VL combines the pulsed laser DYE and the intense pulsed light (IPL) to treat redness in the face (vascular lesion, couperose) and pigmentation spots. During the IPL treatment, the generated heat directly attacks the melanin and the irregular blood vessels without damaging the skin’s surface. Furthermore, the intensity of the In-Motion ™ technology combines a gradual increase of heat in the skin to a cooling of the skin’s surface to ensure a comfortable treatment for the client.

We recommend three to four sessions for a visible regeneration of the redness in your face. Afterward, a maintenance session once or twice every year will preserve the unified complexion of your skin.

IPL Photorejuvenation

Photorejuvenation by Intense Pulsed Light (IPL): the solution to several skin problems (brown spots, rosacea, and couperose) caused by photo-aging.

Photorejuvenation treatments can solve numerous skin problems:

  • Pigmentation spots (also called dark spots or brown spots), ruby points, and uneven complexion
  • Dilated blood vessels (couperose, erythrose, and rosacea)
  • Aging signs (fine lines and wrinkles, enlarged pores, sagging skin)

We also have the handpiece to treat light to moderate acne.

IPL Photorejuvenation: How does IPL work?

The basis of IPL photorejuvenation is that light enters the skin surface and creates a reaction that emits heat. During a photorejuvenation treatment, the light irradiates a small area of the skin on each impulse at a depth of a few nanometers, depending on the targeted chromophore (dark spots, redness or aging signs, or in other words, melanin, oxyhemoglobin, or water).

What is IPL Rejuvenation?

IPL Photorejuvenation corrects complexion imperfections, such as brown spots, rosacea, or couperose. It tightens dilated pores and improves skin texture. It stimulates collagen production, which helps to smooth out and densify the skin. IPL photorejuvenation treatments are non-invasive and do not necessitate a recuperation period after.

IPL Photorejuvenation can treat :

  • face
  • neck
  • chest
  • hands
  • forearms

What does photo-aging mean?

Photo-aging refers to signs of skin deterioration following repeated and prolonged exposure to UV rays, either natural or artificial. The root photo comes from phôtos in Greek and means “light”.

If the aging process is natural for the skin, it can still increase in speed and happen prematurely. Skin aging is a result of environmental and genetic factors. It is accelerated mainly by cumulative exposure to infrared and UV rays. This process is known as photo-aging.

UV rays deteriorate the skin surface (the epidermis), but they also act deeper in the skin (the derm). UVB rays alter the DNA of skin cells while UVA rays modify the fiber structure that gives the skin its firmness (collagen and elastin).

Acne treatment by IPL photorejuvenation

The photorejuvenation technique by intense pulsed light (IPL) utilizes different wavelengths to treat the skin. To treat acne, we use a precise wavelength spectrum that acts on two elements.

The light emitted by the device aims to destroy the bacteria responsible for acne (Propionibacterium Acnes or P. Acnes). Photorejuvenation treatment also targets the blood vessels that feed the sebaceous glands which helps to regulate sebum production.

Acne treatment by IPL photorejuvenation is a simple, non-invasive, and efficient treatment that allows you to resume your daily activities immediately after the session.

Four to six sessions of IPL photorejuvenation are usually required to achieve good results. Some people may need more treatments to achieve the same result.
